accessibility

Built to be usable, and tested rather than assumed.

What is in place on every page:

Reading it

Text contrast meets or exceeds the WCAG AA ratio in both light and dark mode. Nothing depends on colour alone to be understood, which is easy here because the site has no colour. Text resizes with your browser settings rather than being locked to a fixed size.

Using it without a mouse

Everything is reachable by keyboard, and the focus outline is visible rather than removed. Panels that cover the screen trap focus inside themselves while open and hand it back to the control that opened them, so tabbing never wanders behind an overlay. Escape closes anything that opens.

Motion

If your system is set to reduce motion, every transition and reveal is switched off, including looping video, which ignores that setting on its own unless a site handles it deliberately.

Without JavaScript

All content is readable with scripting turned off or blocked. The animation is an enhancement, not a requirement.

Images

Artwork carries written descriptions so a screen reader can say what is in a piece.

Where it falls short

This has not been audited by a third party, and no automated checker catches everything. If something here does not work for you, that is a defect and worth telling us about. Write to hello@bs.wtf and describe what happened and what you were using. It gets fixed.
